Flabbergast – Moonlight Drive 8

Mark’s Commentary:

Uh-oh – slanted panel layout! That must mean this page is full of action! Most of the time when you see a fight scene or action sequence in Flabbergast, I acted it out before I drew it. I will mime the entire scene to get a feel for the hits, the takedowns, the emotion during a fight. I build the choreography and visualize how it will appear in the comic. This is usually done in my studio. Maybe one day I’ll perform a fight scene on stage in front of a crowd, but I’m sure it looks WAY better on the comic page.
