Since 2010, Unwinnable has been creating award-winning, independent writing on culture – primarily videogames, but also tabletop games, movies, television, music, books, politics and life in general.

We only care about one thing: writing good stuff. We embrace all kinds of writing, on all kinds of subjects, by all kinds of people. We want our writing to be read and our writers to be paid.

We don’t care about stuff like chasing clicks, search engine optimization, traditional internet advertising revenue models, review ratings or toxic comment sections.

Subscribers keep Unwinnable alive and make sure there is always a place on the internet for writers to write the stories they want to write.

Monthly subscriptions are $5. Annual subscriptions are $55. Subscriptions rebill automatically unless cancelled.

Exploits comes out on or about the 1st of the month. Unwinnable comes out on or about the 15th.

Please let us know if your subscription is a gift!

Subscribers get the current month’s issues and access to our private Discord when subscribing. Our process is not automated; we fill orders manually, so please be patient at night, on weekends or during holidays.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please mail us at subscriptions@unwinnable.com.

To celebrate the harvest, subscribers get access to our entire back issue archive. That’s 168 issues of Unwinnable magazine, including our vamp-themed issue released this month, and 67 issues of Exploits, our collaborative cultural diary. That’s over 8,500 pages celebrating games, movies, horror and more. A $1,000 value!
