Legendary comic book artist, Gene Colan, passed away yesterday in Bronx, NY following complications from liver disease and a broken hip. He was 84 years-old.
Mr. Colan was one of the most prolific and celebrated comic book artists in the field, illustrating comics like Tales of Suspense, Daredevil, Batman, Detective Comics, Night Force, and many more.
He illustrated two of the 1970s most lauded and fondly remembered Marvel Comics series, Tomb of Dracula (with Marv Wolfman) and Howard The Duck (with the late Steve Gerber).
Rest in peace, Mr. Colan.
