Dear Reader,

A happy new year to you. I just had a great call yesterday that’s got me incredibly excited for the year ahead that we’ll be bringing to your inboxes. We’ll be launching two theme issues this year as well as a few other projects, that need just a little longer in the oven, so be on the lookout. More on that as soon as we can get it to you!

This month’s cover is Zack Giallongo. Welcome back, Zack!

For our feature, Roxy S logs on into the hellscape internet in Splatter.

For this month’s Funeral Rites, brought to you by Exalted Funeral, Monty Python’s Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Programme gets a strongly-worded letter.

As for the accounting of our regular rogues . . . Oluwatayo Adewole winds the clock back all the way to 2024. Jay Castello shouts up the tower for Chants of Sennaar. Maddi Chilton makes an excellent argument she should be put in charge of the Sleuth cinematic universe. Emma Kostopolus mods Doom to go to a normal suburban home. Matt Marrone went to one of the most consequential videogame competitions of all time. Natasha Ochshorn watches a werewolf movie. Emily Price wrote a list, checked it twice. Justin Reeve belongs in a museum. Rob Rich hoots about The Owl House. Levi Rubeck has yet to leave Pax Unplugged. Someone please check on him. Phoenix Simms lies still. Noah Springer takes us back to Springfield, one last time. Autumn Wright communes for the last time.

And finally, we’ve shuttered our Twitter and migrated to Bluesky!

See you all in the next Exploits!
