Mark’s Commentary:
This scene between Julida and Hiyo was hard to write. Julida has always been a happy girl. I wasn’t sure how she should react to Hiyo’s lies. In the end, she says she’ll forgive Hiyo, but it will take time. Her struggle to forgive him and her quest to find her past is what will define Julida in volume two. She’ll be seeing a therapist (who happens to be a zombie) to help her through this tough time.
