Conquering Zarokh, the Temporal Boss in POE 2
Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) has different enemies and bosses present at the different levels of the game. The final boss who manipulates time is Zarokh, the Temporal. It manipulates time to prevent itself from getting defeated. Zarokh is an endgame opponent and only the players having the best or strongest character builds can face it.
A player can make the in-game character stronger by completing the given tasks or through POE 2 currency which he can easily get from LootBar. Those who can defeat this final boss can collect great rewards and reach ultimate strength for their in-game character.
Begin the Zarokh, the Temporal Boss Fight
Firstly, complete all the other tasks and challenges to meet the character requirements to fight the final boss. After that, there is only a single way to begin the fight with the Zarokh, the Temporal boss, which is to complete four floors of the Trial of the Sekhema. The Trials of Sekhema in POE 2 are a series of challenges one can complete to earn ascendency points. These points will help the character to upgrade or evolve.
Floors of the trials unlock as the player progresses through different tasks of the game, but there is a catch to it which is you have to beat Balbala, the Traitor to get tasks to unlock Trials. Balbala, the Traitor is a boss found at the Traitor’s Pass.
The node with the Trials of Sekhema lets you go through multiple floors, with each imposing a different kind of debuff on the character to make it difficult for you to pass the tasks.
To reach the fourth or the last floor of the Sekhema Trials, a player will require a Djinn Barya of minimum area level 75. A Djinn Barya is a type of Sekhemas coin found throughout the other Trails as drops. By placing a Djinn Barya of area level 75 on the fourth and final floor trial altar, one can open up a way leading to Zarokh, the Temporal boss’s area.
A player is required to have Honor to start the fight with Zarokh, the Temporal boss. During every fight in the trials when you get hit by an enemy you lose Honor. The Honor is just like a lifeline for your character. Players who run out of Honor against Zarokh will fail the Trial immediately, so make sure to have enough Honor before the fight starts. In getting these Honor one can take the help of POE 2 currency also. So, make sure you buy POE 2 currency if you are falling short of the same.
Defeat Zarokh, the Temporal Boss
Zarokh, the Temporal has the most power including the health of any non-pinnacle boss in the whole game, which makes this battle difficult to win. Zarokh doesn’t come with different levels of powers based on your character’s level, it has a fixed amount of power regardless of your character level. Some of its attacks are enough to defeat your character in a single shot.
During the fight most important is to know the moves of the opponent or enemy. Below are the attacks and how to counter these attacks of Zarokh, the Temporal boss:
Orb Barrage
Zarokh shoots multiple orb projectiles that travel slowly across the arena. Multiple orbs can be thrown in a few seconds.
How to counter: To counter this stay at a distance from Zarokh, and these orbs travel at a slow pace, find gaps between them walk through the gaps, and avoid getting hit by the orb.
Portal Traps
Teleporting to the center of the arena, it creates eight portals around the room. Portals produce time orbs that travel in straight lines, and damaging if hit by them.
How to counter: Orbs from this attack and orb Barrage can be absorbed by minions, walls, totems, and other obstacles that can be created by a player.
Time Bomb
Zarohk makes a slower orb with a certain radius nearby it. Whenever any player steps in the radius the orb explodes and causes damage to the character.
How to counter: Walls, minions, and totems can trigger the explosion, hence use them or avoid going into the radius until it disappears.
Temporals Tendrils
Teleporting to the center of the arena, Zarokh began to spin while casting magic tendrils that move clockwise.
How to counter: Try to avoid getting hit by these tendrils center as they reach you inside the arena as you dash several hits.
Time Mines
Temporal Tendrils and Zarokh health remains 40% small and several blasts of magic occur from the ground. Whatever comes on the radar of that blast gets the damage.
How to counter: Look at the glowing spaces where mines will appear and dodge them and sometimes you have to time them with Temporal Tendrils at the same time.
Spinning Clock
Zarohk creates a circle with a clock hand moving within it.
How to counter: When the clock hits the 12, you will get teleported to its center. If, it occurs rush to get outside its area to avoid the explosion.
Timeline Pillars
These are similar to orb Barrage which were created by Zarokh.
How to counter: Keep an eye on the pillar projectiles summoned and try to dodge out of their path if they get near you.
Out of Time
Zarokh vanishes while the arena distorts in color. You must walk to the center of the arena where a large clock hand will be found.
How to counter: When the hand starts moving, players have limited time to collect hourglasses around the arena or they will die.
The most dangerous of these is out of time, as it will defeat your character immediately if one is not prepared. Any character with permanent stat bonuses in the game that decreases their movement or speed will face difficulty in beating the Zarokh’s strongest move.
Conclusion
Defeating Zarokh in POE 2 will create a drop, which will be a Unique Relic, that can be used to open up special runs for the Trials of Sekhemas. This task of beating the Zarokh, the Temporal is so interesting one would love to defeat it more than once and will enjoy every time it plays and defeats the boss.
