Dear Reader,

Wow I can’t believe we’ve all aged 1,000 years in the last few weeks.

For this month’s feature we have Andrei Filote on the kind of hell world the universe of Diablo is and the way that it intersects ours. You know, real light, uplifting stuff. At least this month’s cover, by Matt Kehler, is gorgeous.

For this month’s Funeral Rites, brought to you by Exalted Funeral, Justin Reeve prepares for the Pukeapocalypse. Ew!

So, as I alluded to last issue, I’d like to introduce you to a new columnist, Elijah Beahm! Elijah’s been in our atmosphere for a little bit and we spent about two hours on a 30-minute call and the guy is just full to the brim with ideas. Religion and faith both intersect games in some fascinating ways and in the last few weeks has even been in the news. But it’s woven through, too; it’s not all just pumping out monks in Age of Empires 2 or what it means to be part of an inquisition in Dragon Age. Well, I’ll let Elijah do the rest.

And now, the regular rogues. Jay Castello is on the road, again. Maddi Chilton has stacks on stacks on stacks, of books. Emma Kostopolus stops and smells the bloodshed before turning her shoulders and walking in a different direction. Matt Marrone turns out for the turning out of the lights. Natasha Oschorn brings Buffy back. Emily Price is making a habit of Misericorde. Justin Reeve is rebuilding from the ruins. Rob Rich makes some artistic choices. Levi Rubeck gets familiar with a jazz album. Ben Sailer beats a dead horse. Noah Springer is watching Twin Peaks and having the time of our lives. And last, Autumn Wright is trying on something new!

And finally, we’ve shuttered our Twitter and migrated to Bluesky!

See you all in the next Exploits!
