Wow! Good luck! I'm not familiar with the LORE system, but I'd be interested in hearing how it all went.

My group were a bunch of talkers, so role-playing was good, but combat stopped the game dead.

I'm actually in the middle of producing an RPG, so I found this article to be a solid reference. I hope to get everyone in a room sometime next week, but it's a big toss up since our local coffee shop closed (probably not the best place anyways). I'm using LORE ( http://ludusnovus.net/my-games/lore-and-belief/ ) which is designed for maximum possibility and minimal complexity. For setting, I'm basically ripping off Diana Wynne Jones "Homeward Bounders", and placing each session in a different world so world creation is going to be be built from historical and archetypal precedents, which gives a hell of a lot of options for relatively little effort. In addition, I'm building the characters myself (which is taking longer than anything else) and letting the players kill them off as they want to make their own (or two if they want to be ballsy. I won't once tell them that that just makes it easy for me to kill people. I'll let them find that out on their own ;).

In short, (I'm a high school senior by the way) I have to produce an entire first-experience for myself and others, because, no one around here has ever done this.
