Maiden Voyage

Welcome to the launch of the Maiden Voyage in which Ed Coleman and Stu Horvath – friends and Iron Maiden fans since 7th grade – listen to and discuss every single Iron Maiden album, one side at a time. To kick things off, though, we’re giving you not one, not two, but three (!) episodes to put in your ears. After that, new episodes will drop every Friday, with the first season wrapping up on New Year’s Day with Fear of the Dark. But that is the future. Let’s concentrate on the now!

Before Ed and Stu begin their chronological journey through Iron Maiden’s studio albums, they share a selection of songs from throughout the band’s catalog to offer listeners a little sampling of what to expect.

The first official episode of the podcast see Ed and Stu discussing Side A of Iron Maiden’s eponymous first studio album!

Released on April 14, 1980, the album debuted at #4 and spent 17 weeks on the UK charts. The album was preceded by the band’s first single, “Running Free,” released on February 8, 1980.
