The Devil’s Advocate & Free Online Slots

  • You know what? Online slots aren’t all that bad.

I was once like you. I thought that there is no point to be playing slots outside of a casino or, at the very least, playing online for ‘real’ cash.

I had always associated slot machines with those seemingly 100-year-old ladies, ripping through 2 packs of cigarettes, always telling you that “you’re in their spot” or “you’re doing it all wrong”.

I never really understood slots either. I would put in money, press a button, and the machine lit up and I won or nothing would happen, for some reason, and I lost.

I decided to give online slots a chance… and I kind of liked it. I wouldn’t say, “loved”, as I reserve that word for Elder Scrolls and Fallout, but it was really fun and enjoyable.

The best part of my humble experiment with mobile slots – I learned a lot about slots.

Free online slots are a beautiful way to learn how to play slots in general. You don’t have to be worried about sketchy people looking over you shoulder and you’re not worried your inexperience is going to cost you your rent that month.

I would encourage anyone who may someday end up in a casino or anyone who gambles online to learn the basics on free slots first.

Also, Free slots were exactly what my anxiety was waiting for! Finally, a way to gamble (kind of, still no ‘real’ money) without worrying when my financial life was going to crumble and spiral downward out of control.

I lost a lot of free coins playing and I haven’t been booted from my apartment and still have enough cash in my pocket for a Little Caesars Hot-N-Ready. That feel-good emotion of “holy-crap I won” still exists even though you just won basically nothing.

The 2 sites I checked out were Slotomania  & Big Fish Casino. They both were, solid, easy to navigate, clean and seemed trustworthy enough. I chose the two because they both had apps and I had heard of them before. Weirdly enough… I kind of liked them both.

With that all being said, you should be careful. Online slots will still inevitably lead you to the door of ‘real’ money online casinos, which, depending on you moral compass, could be a bad or a good thing.

If you want to play slots for cash, I won’t stop you. Check out this list of reviewed options.

A good rule of thumb, though, is to never put your credit card information into a site. If the site wants that, then it’s NOT free! Use you head and you’ll be fine.

I’m glad I got out of my comfort zone and, at the very least, I understand people who play slots on the go. I encourage you to go out and try something new. I was against it; I thought there was no fun in free slots and you know what? Online slots aren’t all that bad.
