We're lucky in New Hampshire. Not only is the largest classic arcade in the world still here and cranking (FunSpot), but one of the big pinball arcades, Pinball Wizard, opened up a couple years ago here, too, and they are doing great. Take heart! We may never see arcades the way they were, as prevalently, but the medium is evolving to suit its audience. Barcades are opening across the country. I agree, though, people need to make an effort to support this medium if it is important to them. But I *do* think you can make a difference with an article like this, because every reminder counts.

This really struck a chord within me, I hung around arcades in Phoenix since I was 14 and have seen them all virtually vanish. The only ones left are those catered to adults and kids like Dave and Busters. I miss playing around other people and having matches against someone or even have other people going ooh or aaaaah while playing. It's so disappointing to see arcades as a whole vanishing. Miss them more and more as time goes by. Great article Mitch!!!!!
