Okay, I know I'm being harsh and unfair, but when I'm in the middle of my commute it is very difficult to take seriously an interview with a man seeking crowdfunding so that he can spend the summer writing a video game he's barely played without worrying about bills, rent, deadlines, or deliverables. In that light, I did intend to call Rowan Kaiser a lazy prick - writing about pop culture isn't a real job. I'm sorry to say it on a video game...what is this, a blog? a magazine?...but you're damn lucky if you can make a living at doing this (and I know you know it, too!)
Overall the presentation was amateurish, with people talking over each other and very little in the way of prepared content. I was really upset by this because your articles always have good hooks and usually a solid point to make.
I started coming over here because of Brandon Keogh's appearance on the Brainy Gamer podcast and the articles haven't let me down. This podcast felt pretty rough, and after 45 minutes all it had added to my understanding was the difference between BroShep and FemShep, what the Apple volume boop sounds like, and that Rowan eats a meal in mid-afternoon.
Maybe I expected too much, but I put that on you guys for having thoughtful articles that are good enough for me to have shared with (really small set of) friends.
After being as negative as I have, I'd feel guilty entering a giveaway game, unless doing so drove something back to Unwinnable other than my site traffic. Unless you can promise me a really good conversation about themes in Mass Effect, I'm not going to listen to the rest of the show.
Once the show gets a more polished production I'll come back and give it a listen, but right now it is too many hoops for me to jump through just to listen to something that is lacking to the point of pissing me off.
Thank you for putting this out there, I really just want it to be better.

In reply to <a href="https://unwinnable.com/2013/05/02/unlistenable-episode-45/#comment-62096">Paneerakbari</a>.

Thanks so much for listening.
If I may ask how did you come upon this podcast?

Also could you specify who the lazy prick is?

If you tweeted this with the special hashtag, you could have been entered into the Mark of the Ninja contest.

The one person that listens and makes a comment about the show, doesn't play the giveaway game. Shit like that bums me out way more than the opinions of strangers.

Paneerakbari be less lazy and listen to the rest of the show and use the hashtag and win.
In all seriousness, thanks for listening, even if it is going to be your only time listening.

In fairness, it only took about 7 minutes of inane rambling before we asked that prick Rowan a real question.
