First off, I'm sorry about your dad. That's very sad.

Secondly, this is beautifully written. The little things your father did for you showed how much he cared. I don't think you should beat yourself up with regret because you can't change the past. This article is a great memorial to your dad, and even if you feel you didn't appreciate him the way you wanted to, I think you will carry over the kind of appreciation you should have had with your own children.
