Oh how I used to daydream about going through that maze. My mom would only let me buy one game per month when I was a kid, so the thought of grabbing all those prizes was amazing. Even at 9 years old, though, Johnny Arcade annoyed the heck out of me. I wasn't too young to realize his character was just a corporate idea of "cool".

Haha! Well, BeeTeeDee, remember this show did also go up against the DiC GI Joe cartoon in the New York Metropolitan Area. I remember having to choose between Johnny Arcade and Captain Grid Iron one September morning and I never looked back... at least until DiC ditched the jock strap for the new Duke action figure as the team leader. Then Video Power lost out.

How dare you insinuate that the Power Team was a lesser version of the Captain N crew! The Power Team had Tyrone from Arch Rivals! Did Captain N have a basketball player on board? Nuh-uh! Seriously though, Video Power had only one thing going for it: it was on weekday mornings, right before school. If it had to compete with the Saturday morning shows like Captain N and Gamepro TV with J.D. Roth, it would've been even more obscure (if that's possible).
