Great list. Tangled is a really wonderful movie. It really is up there with Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid and the like. Great music. Funny and heartfelt adventure.

And Pixar is amazing too. I have to defend Cars for a moment. I'll agree that my first time watching it, I was not blown away, but it's one of those movies you really come to appreciate after a second viewing. Also the making of the movie on the DVD really highlights how much research they went through to make a movie about the small towns being pushed away because of interstate highways.

I like Edgar Wright, to an extent. I think he's a little too heavy handed, and in this case, that heavy hand weighed about 50 pounds. It was just a little too much, and really didn't make the movie any better.

It's weird cause I don't feel like Edgar Wright was necessarily pandering but I think he thought he was playing it "safe" and that he was going to have a surefire hit capitalizing on his previous success with Shawn of the Dead. It was kind of like Zack and Miri Make a Porno, where Kevin Smith tried to use the right actors and make a movie that was just edgy enough.
